Nestled at the end of California Lane, our bookstore is more than just a spot to find your next great read. It’s a home for stories in the making. Founded and run by an independent author, we live to share the journey from the spark of an idea to a finished novel on the shelf.

We’re here to bring writers and readers together. Whether you’re discovering new genres, diving back into a comfort read or workshopping your manuscript, this is a space built to nurture creativity. We’re all about intimate book clubs to buzzing author events, and supporting writers on their journey. Our doors are always open to those who love storytelling.

We want to celebrate fresh voices, support emerging talent, and create opportunities for writers to share their work and be part of a community.

About the Owner/Author

Lauren Jones grew up in North Queensland and now lives in Brisbane with her graphic designer husband and two mini dachshunds.

She started writing stories as a kid and thought time-travelling high fantasy was an easy place to start. She was wrong. Since then, Lauren has worked on her craft and published three contemporary women’s fiction novels. That doesn’t mean a time-travelling fantasy isn’t on the cards though.

Lauren has also completed her certification in developmental editing and is available to assist authors with all their creative writing projects.
